Update: Tammie mentioned that www.mikasa.com also has stemware much cheaper than Kaufmann's. It's also a great source of ideas...who knew that I was missing out on the Double Old Fashioned glasses?! And an executive highball glass is bigger than a regular highball? AHA! I always suspected our executives drank more than everyone else! And while I know what a cordial glass is, doesn't it sound friendly?
Ok, it's been a long day of meetings. I promise to go home now.
Christine was doing some surfing around on the web and found out that Ross Simons has our stemware, and our silverware, considerably (ie a third) cheaper than May dept stores does. To get to the site (if you're interested) go to www.ross-simons.com. Let the bargain shopping begin!
She also found a story on brides soaking their guests by having endless showers, jack and jills (apparently that's a fundraiser for the honeymoon), engagement parties, dollar dance, post wedding parties, etc. We thought we'd just cut to the chase, and instead of a dollar dance, I could just wear a credit card reader as a necklace around my neck.
Yick.
Let's get real...as long as our friends and family show up, we'll be happy! For a lot of them, just arriving will be expensive, so we appreciate that too.

What can I say except…we’re verklempt.
A box arrived on Friday on our front porch with Christine as a return address. I opened it up and read the instructions and decided to wait until Chris and I had time to do the shower-in-a-box properly. We finally had a chance tonight. It was so sweet! (especially the chocolate munchies!) Anyway, I proudly sported my shark swim cap as we opened presents from Mom & Dad, Mom, Christine, Tammie, and Sue. And, I’ll have you know that we got the quotes almost all right…we just flip flopped the Moms! (It was close Christine, the chocolate reference almost threw me off, but I recognized the posing as the statue as a throwback to our Atlanta visits.) In the spirit of our marriage we did it as a team rather than a competition. We’re saving the competition for sit-ups. Anyway, it also turns out that Christine met up with Tammie, Julie & Sue in San Fran, and there are pictures! Doggone it, though, I missed out on my Tiffany gift because I didn’t register in time. Do they have anything less than $20?
So thanks y’all, we’re touched and flattered. The thank you cards are coming soon!
