Cheryl & Chris's Wedding Blog

Wooohooo! We're off to Richmond this weekend. Chris is announcing at the VA State Road Race and the VA State Crit. (Or some combination thereof). We get to stay with our friends JH & Susan and their sons Henry & Ethan. Fred's going also so he can terrorize their girl dogs. Well one of their girl dogs. The other one has already figured out that she doesn't need some dumb boy leaving his undies in the hall, drinking beer on her couch, and leaving the toilet seat up. They pretty much have a truce, but we'll keep an eye on them to make sure no one gets too rambunctious. I'm looking forward to getting out of PA, and helping out with the race.

On the wedding front, this site deserves an instant replay, specifically for the pregnant prom dress. It's a train wreck on so many levels!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Nothing to add.
Anyone can fall in love. It's no accomplishment for a young couple to share passionate feelings and to make promises at the beginning of a romance. But to see couples like Mort and Millie endure in the face of the inevitable "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune," that's worthy of admiration.

It's a Doggy post kind of day. First of all, the rest of Freddy's pictures are up.

Secondly, Tyler Hamilton posted a really sweet tribute to his dog Tugboat. A lot of our friends are dog (or pet) people, so I know that you'll appreciate this one.

The blog is kinda cool. In some ways it's a little stressful, especially because at the moment I don't have a whole lot of on topic items to post. But on the plus side, it's been great to hear from friends who have suggestions or comments on some of the issues that come up. Kathy has used Men's Wearhouse for tuxes and recommends them, which is great because it offers another place to look. Marcie emailed with a great idea for a rubber stamp on paper napkins for my bicycle built for two, and a wedding invite/thank you card site as well. Thank you, everyone! It's so cool to know my friends are here in spirit even if they aren't present in Pittsburgh.

In non-wedding related news (oh c'mon, surely you're used to it by now!), we've gotten some photos of Fred back, and I'm in the process of posting them. The first batch went up this AM, mostly of Fred playing at Bird Park with his doggy buddies Baker and Homer. The next batch will get posted tomorrow AM, including a most excellent picture of Fred's best friend, Baker. Come to think of it, we consider Fred our baby. Maybe it isn't so off topic!

ARGH!
I was listening to the radio this AM and the djs sent congratulations out...to Sheryl Crow's boyfriend. I'm all about cycling being more in the mainstream eye, but I really don't care to be reminded about that particular relationship.

Anyway, the Tour has just been weird this year. Of the 4 major contenders for the maillot jaune, Tyler & Iban Mayo dropped out, Roberto Heras lost 1/2 hour, and Jan Ullrich is 7 minutes down on Lance. Yesterday, Lance took yellow by winning the stage. Go Lance!

And in other good news, Tammie has a bridesmaids dress. Yeay! Can't wait to see it!

A friend sent me this quote in my birthday card:
People shop for a bathing suit with more care than they do a husband or wife. The rules are the same. Look for something you'll feel comfortable wearing. Allow room to grow.
