We're the proud owner of a bouncing baby Maytag! Ok, it's still not a wedding thing, but since you've been dragged through the saga so far, you might as well hear the end of it. We went to Sears yesterday, walked in, saw it sitting on the floor on closeout (ie good amount of money off), did a quick scan to see if any other deals met our fancy, and checked out. The whole event probably took 20 minutes. Now to survive until next Thursday when it's delivered. Maybe I can emulate someone who I went to college with. He hated washing clothes so much that instead of washing, he'd run out and buy new underwear. Finally, he would just run out of room, and surrender to the siren call of the washing machines. I'm pretty sure that at one point he could go a whole semester without a trip to the laundromat.

It's a thought - and think of the water/electricity savings!
