Cheryl & Chris's Wedding Blog

Last night was the wedding registry stuff at Kaufmann's. Anyway, they handed me the little shoot-em gun and away I went to find things that I liked. So pending Chris' final approval, the formal selections are:
China:
Noritake Crestwood Cobalt Platinum
Crystal:
Mikasa Olympus
"Silver" (ok Stainless Steel) Ware
Oneida Satin Aquarius
Flatware
Oneida Satin Tribeca
When I got there, and they handed me the little wand thingy, my brain locked up completely. I pretty much have the basics that I need, so I was walking past daily dinner plates (nope, got those last year), and glasses, flatware, kitchen appliances...and nothing was ringing a bell. Decision anxiety! Decision anxiety! but then...I saw the glow, the angels started singing, and I stumbled upon the calphalon pots and pans. For those of you who aren't turned on by pans, Calphalon is really, really nice quality stuff. And unfortunately, priced accordingly. But I figured that even if no one bought one, I'm ok, I have plenty of pots and pans at home. And if someone did buy us one, well, so much the better. After the calphalon ice breaking, I did finally get my act together and decide on some other stuff (oh c'mon, we NEED the tortilla warmer!). The only disappointment was that I wasn't too pumped up about the linens & bathroom things, so I may end up at Penney's to register for those items. In both cases, our registries can be printed off online, so hopefully that cuts down on people running from pillar to post trying to decide on something.
And on a totally different note, I stumbled across the Royale Orleans menu, which I forgot I had. So basically the buffet that we're looking at includes:
Top Round of Beef with Sauce La Fitte
Cajun Style Ham
Tortellini in Alfredo Sauce
"Touch of New Orleans" Red beans and rice
Potatoes Royale
Cheese Cube & Fresh Fruit Appetizer Platter
Donna's Roayle Chef Salad
10-item Relish Tray
Fresh Bakery French Bread with Butter
We're a little worried about whether we should add Mostaccioli in Meat Sauce or not. Mom & Dad are checking the clause to make sure that a wedding held in St Louis is legal without it. That's still in question.
Take care!
