Oh NO!

The New York Times posted an article today about how happy people are nastier. According to this particular article, both angry people and happy people are more apt to make bigoted judgements, especially negative ones. Well the wedding certainly doesn't make me angry or sad, so that leaves me as happy, and therefore nasty. By the end of the article, happiness was a bad thing. So if I could just get really bummed out, I'll be a better person.

Then again, maybe it's a good thing that my background is engineering, we're not required to believe this mess. I'm off to go make some bigoted, stereotypical judgements about my co-workers. Zippity-do-daaah...

Comments:
Can we just cut the charade? The NYT (esp the magazine) is more or less an ethnography from the Upper West Side Liberals.
