Cheryl & Chris's Wedding Blog

So we had our wedding moment for the weekend today. Chris, Fred the wonderdog and I headed off to Harrisburg PA for a crit, enroute to a picnic in NJ. It was really cool, the crit was held around the state capitol grounds. So while I didn't get to go into the buildings (Freddie was apparently not welcome), I did get some fine Travelocity gnome style pictures of Fred in front of the capitol and in front of the state museum of PA. I did miss my opportunity to snap a shot of him with the Elvis impersonator who was entertaining the crowds. And hence our wedding moment. A couple turned up to have a wedding picture taken at the capitol, only to find their way blocked by a bike race, Elvis, and scads of scaffolding. But all was not lost, a little gesticulating and the Elvis impersonator dedicated his song to the newlyweds and as the break was caught behind them by the 1/2 field, they danced to faux-Elvis. Truly, a romantic moment. Chris wants a race at our wedding. His teammate's Mom has the phone number of the Elvis impersonator, just in case.

(Tammie, Nikki, Carrie, Amy: After 2 trips to Europe with you, viewing many fine forms of European scaffolding, I now think realize it's my fault. Everywhere I go, there's scaffolding.)
