We're baaaaaaaaaaacckkk! The weekend went really well. JH & Susan were working like crazy to make the races went well, and their efforts paid off. Despite some not so cooperative weather (spritzed on Saturday, poured on Sunday), everything seemed to go off really well. Chris did a fabulous job as an announcer. Not that I'm partial or anything, but watch out Phil Liggett & Paul Sherwin! Fred behaved fairly well - not so good on Saturday with other dogs, but very well on Sunday. I'm trying to expunge the mental image of Fred pulling Chris over at the announcers tent while he attempted to go after another dog. That'll teach me to take our mutt out without the prong collar on, not just the leash snapped to his canvas collar. But it was a good weekend, all in all.

My friend Kathy suggested that if we could have gotten Homer, Baker, and Fred to play some poker, we would have a masterpiece. The only thing that conjured for Chris and me was the mental image of the three dogs attempting to bluff.

Fred: "This hand is horrible!" *wag wag wag*
Baker: "Mine too! Who dealt this?" *leaping into the air with joy*
Homer: "I should have dealt off the bottom, this stinks." *heavy panting, tongue lolling*

And now the latest wedding news. We've gotten our first item off of our gift registry - Huge woohoo moment! So as weird as it was to sign up for things, I gotta say this being on the receiving end of gifts totally rocks. Now to get Thank You cards! I need to get moving on those!
