Ok, well I'm batting .500, surely that means something?!

I did get some thank you cards, enough to hold me over, but put the shoes off for a little bit. Tammie & Christine both came up with some good websites to check out, and I found some stores here in Pgh that I'd like to check out as well.

I also got a nice, but humbling bike ride in on Sunday. My friend Emma had baby Olivia at the end of June. She and I had a chance to go for a bike ride - the first time in a little under a year! It's a bit lowering to get slaughtered every time the road slants up by a woman who's sleep deprived, worried that her baby's starving at home, and "out of shape". I was doing ok on the early rollers, but then we got to the dreaded Harts Run Road, which is a nasty climb (at least by MY definition). After that, I did pretty badly, and was almost grateful when I got the flat tire that earned me a ride back. But I'm looking forward to zipping around with her again, this time with tires that aren't worn to the core (doh!) and a spare in my bag. All together now: That which does not kill me, makes me stronger!
